Le Pigeonnier has been renovated to a high standard, and tastefully furnished throughout, to provide comfortable accommodation for up to six people, retaining the character of the original stone building. The large south-facing Terrace is equipped with garden furniture, recliners and BBQ for outdoor eating and adjoins a grassed area with trees.

The house is situated in an elevated position, on the edge of a hilltop hamlet amongst vineyards and wonderful countryside, and has superb views across a valley to the village with restaurant, bar, shop and boulangerie (3kms). There are excellent restaurants nearby.

We have been awarded 3 Stars by Lot Tourisme (the highest for our type of property) following an Inspection.

The Lot Valley is largely unspoiled and has so much to offer. Le Vert is the ideal peaceful location to enjoy a relaxing holiday in this beautiful area. Lots to see and do in the perfect setting. Many nearby swimming areas at Lakes or in the River.

We are in the heart of Cahors wine country, just south of the River and close to the charming market towns of Prayssac, Montcuq and Puy l'Eveque. There is a local Market for each day of the week. Only 20 kms away is the ancient city of Cahors with its pavement cafes down the Boulevard and boat trips on the River.

For sightseers there is the picturesque village of St Cirq Lapopie high above the River Lot, spectacular Rocamadour with its buildings clinging to the cliffside, Padirac's enormous caverns, Pech-Merle's superb cave paintings, the riverside villages along the Lot and Dordogne and the bastide towns or Monflanquin, Monpazier and Villereal. As well as sightseeing, many attractive local walks pass through or close to Le Vert, canoeing on the Lot, bicycles can be hired locally, and swimmers and children can enjoy lakes with sandy beaches at Montcuq, Catus and Montaigu de Quercy.
