Classed as one of “the most beautiful villages of France”, the picturesque town of Tourtour has a well-preserved architecture. Its narrow streets are lined with pretty Provencal houses in stone or pastel tones, some covered in round roof tiles. Place des Ormeaux, the principal square, is a welcoming and very cozy square with a few restaurants and bars in the shade of huge plane and olive trees.
However, Tourtour stays a vibrant and lovely village, it was able to preserve its rural lifestyle. The charming village is surrounded by grasslands and meadows and as called “Village in the sky”, Tourtour overlooks a large slice of the Provence.
