Château de Villette - Escargot

We are pleased you discovered our private estate “Domaine de Villette”. Villette is a world we created for people to enjoy and share our passion for life in Burgundy, nearby the wine region of Beaune. During our travels we have always enjoyed small of very special luxury hotels and private estates and have learned to appreciate the words “Life Well, Laugh Often and Love Much”.

Since 2012 and on request of returning guests, we offer 2 renovated 18th century luxury cottages for weekly holiday rental. The cottages are located on the estate of Chateau de Villette, in the regional parc of the Morvan, Burgundy.

It is with this spirit in mind we would like you to experience your stay at “Villette”, a luxury bed and breakfast. Since our opening, the majority of our guests have come to us by word of mouth. We hope to build up our clientele only through people who are actively searching for something our of the ordinary.

Very quiet with it’s own garden bordering unspoilt woodlands. Built as a cottage next to the main chateau and close to the pool.

Interior:

The house has modern day comforts combined with a tastefully renovated 18th century feel. Comfortable sofa’s and chairs, a candle lit dining table, a large open fire place, an extremely comfortable fourposter king size bed, and a spacious bathroom with large shower head, deep antique bath tub, and double wash basins with marble top.

The kitchen is open plan and easily accessible to the dining table or outside barbecue area.

A satellite Television with a DVD player and WIFi connection is available.

Exterior:

The pool with deck chairs and a a comfortable seating area is walking distance from the cottage. A private garden overlooking the 17th century pigeon house can be used for BBQ’s or lying in the sun. Direct access to the ancient woods is from the garden and the chateau park and gardens are open for you te explore.

Location:

The cottage is within easy reach of Autun and Luzy. Here you can enjoy excellent small restaurants, pitoresque streets, local produce from the markets and ancient history. Further afield there are the vineyards to be explored by bicycle .

In the stunning and unspoilt Burgundy countryside Château de Villette offers unique and exciting shooting and hunting on small and large game.

You may also indulge in other activities such as.

1000’s of hectares of unspoilt countryside surround this area which make it also an ideal place to go bicycling, jogging, walking, mushroom and escargot finding, wildlife studying etc.
