Le Roudier Gite Complex

The Le Roudier farmstead set in over 30 acres of countryside and gardens, is a fanatastic, spacious and characterfull holiday destination located in the Dordogne, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, ideal for groups of up to 22 (30 on request) people seeking a peaceful retreat, in the charm of the French countryside. The estate consists of four independent gîtes — Le Nid, Le Chai, La Garenne and La Ferme — which together form one cohesive and welcoming holiday setting.  On request, the main farmhouse can also be rented providing a further 8 beds.  The 14x7 pool and terrace forms the centrepiece of this private complex which is surrounded by private gardens, prairie and woodland.

The 300 year old buildings of Le Roudier have been sympathetically renovated over the past 30 years, retaining much of the old character but benefitting from modern services.  WiFi throughout the whole complex, with each property having separate terraces and entrances, means that guests can enjoy the ambiance of french country living without forfeiting their home comforts.  An ideal mix of individual properties allowing personal space but fantastic communal areas that provide ideal areas for group activities.

Le Roudier is perfectly suited for family holidays, group stays or reunions, offering the ideal balance between shared experiences and privacy within each gîte.

For larger groups, the estate can be extended to accommodate up to 30 people when gîte La Maison is also rented, making Le Roudier an excellent choice for multi-family holidays or larger gatherings.

The 300 year old farmstead of Le Roudier is composed of 4-5 fully equipped properties, offering multiple living areas, kitchens and comfortable bedrooms suitable for groups of up to 22 guests (30 on request). Each gîte has its own layout and character, allowing guests to enjoy communal moments while maintaining personal space.  All renovations have been done sympathetically to retain original features but carried out to exploit all the charm and character of the buildings.

The interiors combine practical comfort, fully equipped kitchens, modern bathrooms and are designed to accommodate group stays with ease. When the 5th property, La Maison is included, additional living and sleeping space is created, allowing the estate to comfortably host up to 30 people without compromising comfort or privacy.

WiFi has been installed throughout the complex so that guests can keep in touch with the outside world if they so wish however complete relaxation around the pool area and general ambiance may interfere with this.

Nearby lies the charming bastide town of Eymet, known for its lively weekly market, welcoming terraces and excellent restaurants. Bergerac, famous for its historic centre, vineyards and international airport, is also just a twenty-minute drive away. This makes Le Roudier easily accessible and an ideal base from which to explore the region.

The Dordogne offers a rich combination of nature, culture and gastronomy. Walking and cycling enthusiasts can enjoy quiet country roads and scenic trails directly from the gîte. Many activities are available in the area, including canoeing on the Dordogne or the Dropt rivers, golfing, horse riding and visiting impressive castles, caves and medieval villages.  A nature-lover's paradise.  Local wildlife including deer, wild boar, otters and incredible birdlife are on your doorstep. From the summer visitors like the Hoopoe and Golden Oriol to the resident Barn Owls, Short Toed Eagles, Hen Harriers, Black Winged Kites, to name just a few.
