On the edge of Collias, a bustling village on the Gardon with canoe rental, bakery, grocery and several restaurants, our holiday home is located on a large plot (700 m2) between the village and the countryside. It is a practically furnished house with its own swimming pool. The house is very suitable for, for example, two families with children or a family with grandparents, but at the same time cozy enough to accommodate fewer people. On the ground floor there is a spacious bedroom/office with an en suite bathroom. In front of the house there is a veranda with roll-out sun blinds. There is also a terrace by the pool and a terrace at the back of the garden. From the garden you have a beautiful view over the fields and characteristic French villages on the horizon. A dip in the pool is wonderfully refreshing.

Upon entering you can store some belongings and your coat in the hall, which leads directly to the living room with open kitchen. Adjacent is the spacious bedroom-office with double bed and bathroom. Upstairs are three bedrooms. All bedrooms have air conditioning. The yellow smaller room has a bed and a trundle bed, the second (blue) room has a double bed and the third spacious (green) bedroom has two single beds that can easily be pushed together. Bed linen is included in the rental price. The upstairs bathroom has two sinks and a shower. Separate toilet. The kitchen is spacious and equipped with a dishwasher, electric hob, combination oven/microwave and a refrigerator with freezer. The washing machine is located in the garage of the house.

Located in Collias, a typical bustling southern French village with bakery, supermarket, café and restaurants, near the recently renovated castle, our holiday home on the edge of the village offers a nice base. A three-minute walk out of the neighborhood and you are in the countryside for an (evening) walk along olive groves, vineyards and garrigue.

The house is a 1.5 kilometer walk from the River Gardon, a popular spot for bathing, kayaking, cycling, climbing and pony trekking. There is a public tennis court 600 meters from the house that the municipality of Collias renovated this year. There are also basketball and football options and a playground for younger children. There is also a jeu de boule court just a stone's throw away. There are numerous marked hiking trails that are ideal for discovering the Gorges du Gardon on foot. The ancient Roman aqueduct bridge, the Pont du Gard, is 7km away by road – or better yet, a beautiful 2-hour canoe trip along the river.

Beautiful cities nearby:

Uzès is a beautiful town with a characteristic square, ducal palace and the Finestrelle tour, from which a walk through the Vallée de l'Eure is possible. Avignon and Nîmes are the two major well-known cities, but Orange and further afield Arles and Montpellier are also nice to visit. The villages of Vers-Pont-du-Gard, St. Bonnet du Gard, Castillon-du-Gard. Saint Siffret and St-Quentin-la-Poterie are close by and also worth a visit. Also nice: Beaucaire and Tarascon. The places both have their own castle.
