Holiday home in Perpignan, France with swimming pool

You will find our holiday home with swimming pool in a quiet location in a residential area south of Perpignan in southern France. It is a detached house suitable for up to 8 people in Provencal style, fully south-oriented and fenced. The house has 3 sleeping places with a double bed and a room downstairs with a ClicClac. 

On the ground floor of the house there is a spacious terrace with outdoor bar with water and electricity and barbecue near the private swimming pool. Garden furniture and 4 sunbeds are available. There is a swing for the children. The spacious living room has a table and chairs and a sofa. 

In terms of multimedia, there is fast WiFi and TV Flanders with Flemish and Dutch channels, Orange for the French channels, Chromecast and a Sonos audio system. On the ground floor there is a fourth room with a ClicClac sofa bed, shower cubicle with sink. separate toilet. In the back kitchen there is a washing machine, fridge with freezer and microwave. The kitchen is equipped with natural gas stoves, a combination oven, a dishwasher, coffee machine and a second refrigerator with freezer. 

On the top floor: 3 bedrooms with air conditioning (3 x 2 double beds 1.40 meters), detached toilet, a library with books and DVDs and a treadmill for those who want to walk or run indoors. 

The house has everything we use at home. For example, towels for the swimming pool and kitchen are available. Linen is also provided. The washing machine allows you to wash in between and afterwards. 

This attractive holiday home is located 8 km from the beach and the sea. The nearby beaches are well-maintained, and along the shore, you’ll find various dining options. The beach is accessible from the holiday home by bike via a cycling path or by bus. By car, it's a 10-minute drive to the sea, 6 minutes to the historic center of Perpignan, 40 km to Spain, and 50 km to the ski slopes of Les Angles.

Thanks to the central location of the holiday home, you can easily make numerous (day) trips in this region, rich in Cathar history.

Perpignan is one of the southernmost cities in France, with a delightful climate in the Occitanie region in Languedoc-Roussillon. It's a 14th-century city with charming little shops. During the summer, there are many activities, such as "Jeudis de Perpignan," where you can enjoy free evening entertainment on various squares in Perpignan during the summer months. The surrounding villages also organize numerous activities during the summer. In the newspaper "La Semaine," you’ll find, among other things, the agenda of all the activities in the region (a new edition with activities every Thursday).

In Perpignan, a tourist train runs, visiting sites like the Palace of the Kings of Majorca, Le Castillet, Saint-Jean Cathedral, Loge de la Mer, Campo Santo, and more—all worth a visit. Perpignan is the French capital of Catalan culture, where the Catalan atmosphere is distinctly palpable.

Within an hour, you can be in Spain, where you can enjoy a delightful and affordable meal by the beach. In the border area, you’ll also find various villages in a medieval style with castles.

Collioure is a particularly beautiful village located on the wine route along the coast. Explore this village together with the fruity or salty wines from the region, and don’t forget to try the anchovies.

Oysters and mussels can be bought directly from the sea in Leucate (30 km away). For enthusiasts, there’s a nearby nude beach.

Carcassonne: A 1-hour drive will take you to the historic site of Carcassonne. The "Cité" of Carcassonne is the largest fortress in Europe and is well worth a visit. This city is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

If you’re considering a trip to the mountains, be sure to visit Villefranche de Conflent and perhaps book a ride on the Petit Train Jaune, nicknamed Le Canari.
