La Saucisserie Gites

Gite complex, large Maison du Maitre and 3 gites located in the Perigord Vert, the green heart of the Dordogne.

Close to La Coquille and Thiviers and about an hour from Brantome and Perigueux and Limoges, we are ideally placed for exploring all the Dordogne has to offer.

Maison Du Maitre - This attractive and very spacious house (approx. 200m2) used to be the original residence of La Saucisserie and is packed with authentic features and architecture. It has recently been completely renovated and is equipped with all conveniences, has 4 spacious bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 adults and 4 children. It has 3 double bedrooms for adults or kids and one kids room for 4 with a two double bunk beds.

Gite La Cour - This spacious (approx. 140m2) and attractive gite is a guest favourite and has recently been completely renovated. It has 3 large bedrooms and can accommodate up to 6 adults or 4 adults and 2 children comfortably. You enter the living room through the large entrance door of your own courtyard. The high beamed ceiling and the preserved original details give this holiday home a special ambiance. The attractive living room has a comfortable sofa and chairs. On the left is a passage to the spacious kitchen with dining area. 

Gite d'Amis 1 - This attractive Gite is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. Through your own enclosed garden you come to the front door that gives direct access to the living room with dining area and the open kitchen. The living room has a comfortable sofa, TV and DVD player. The dining area has a dining area for 4 people. The kitchen is fully equipped, including washing machine, dishwasher, gas 4 ring hob and microwave/oven.

Gite d'Amis 2 - This attractive Gite is suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. Through your own enclosed garden (approx. 200m2) you come to the front door that gives direct access to the living room with dining area and the open kitchen. The living room has a sitting area TV and DVD player. The dining area has a dining area for 4 people and it has a fully equipped kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher, gas 4 ring hob and microwave/oven.

For children there is plenty of space to run free along with swings, slide, a large in-ground trampoline, play hut, sit on tractors, table tennis table, badminton net, football table, golf sets and for the little ones we have sandboxes and special mini swings. There are also sun loungers, picnic tables and seats in the general garden by the pool to relax and / or to have a chat.

We also organise special events subject to availability such as games or softball or rounders, croquet and archery. Watch the board for details.

The 5 acre site (2.5ha) is in a remote rural location with plenty of room for the children to "go on an adventure", but with peace of mind for the parents.

Every holiday home in the Dordogne should have a swimming pool which is why we have built a brand new beautiful 11 x 5m pool with a depth of 1.2m to 1.50m, which is located to enjoy the breath taking views whilst relaxing on the many sun loungers. The swimming pool is fenced and can only be accessed via a security gate, so that younger children cannot enter without supervision. We also have children's paddling pools for the little ones.

Cycling and walking are popular in the area and there are plenty of trails that run through the village. And if you want to explore the Perigord Vert you will find plenty of things to do from the local swimming lake to castles and karting.
