The spacious gîte can accommodate 8 people, with the possibility of adding 2 extra beds or cots.

On the ground floor, you will find a cosy living room and a fully equipped kitchen.

Upstairs there are four spacious bedrooms, each with its own bathroom and toilet.

All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, sun blinds and luxurious box-spring beds measuring 180 × 200 cm.

Two bedrooms offer the option of an extra single bed or cot.

Each room has electric Velux windows with blackout blinds, a hairdryer, bed linen, pillows and duvets.

Everything is provided for a carefree stay.

Nature and hiking

Les Jardins des Nenuphars: less than a 10-minute drive from Coulx, you can discover a water lily paradise where the legendary painter Monet placed his order for water lilies for his famous “garden at Giverny” in late 1890. Les jardin des Nénuphars is located in Le-Temple-sur-Lot and is well worth a visit.

Les jardins de Coursiana in the municipality of La Romieu is an hour and a half's drive from Coulx. This is highly recommended for both connoisseurs and enthusiasts. In addition to a renowned arboretum, you will also find a beautifully organised vegetable and herb garden.

The Moulin de la Ville Nature Reserve in the neighbouring municipality of Tombeboeuf was created because of its biodiversity and was shaped by agriculture. This natural site covers an area of 12 hectares and was formerly a mixed crop farm. The area has wet meadows, alluvial forests, mesophilic orchid lawns, and is home to many heritage and protected species. Since 2011, it has been a classified regional nature reserve and is therefore a privileged place for discovering the local natural heritage.

Culture and gastronomy

 Local markets: The markets take place in the streets but also in authentic village squares. They are pleasantly busy and are usually held in the morning or, in the case of the Marchés Nocturnes, in the evening. You can browse among the stalls filled with all kinds of locally grown fruit and vegetables, spices, flowers, clothing and other trinkets.

Chateau Monbazillac: The 16th-century castle is a World Heritage Site and also houses the wine museum. The building has a unique and original architecture, a mixture of medieval defensive systems and Renaissance elegance. The property is owned by a cooperative wine cellar, which preserves the magic of the building and keeps the castle open to the public.

Château de Duras is a beautiful castle located in the north-west of Lot-et-Garonne. The castle was built in 1137 on a high rock. From the castle, you have a beautiful view. The castle is now open to the public and is one of the most interesting sights. When visiting the castle, you can take a guided tour to learn all about the history of the castle and the region. You can also visit an interesting archaeological museum in the building, Musée le Duras, where many ancient objects, such as weapons, are on display.

Château de Bonaguil: the castle of Bonaguil in Saint-Front-sur-Lémance is a feast for the eyes due to its medieval style. People interested in architecture should definitely visit the castle, which is located between Quercy and Perigord. The castle is one of the most impressive castles in Europe.

Château le Stelsia: Château Lalande in Saint-Sylvestre-sur-Lot was given a new purpose and a new name, “Le Stelsia”, by Philippe Gineset, top entrepreneur and owner of the Gifi decoration chain, and his colleague Jacques Bru. This transformation really gives you the feeling that you have stepped into a fairy tale. The strong colours and spectacular evening lighting appeal to everyone's imagination. The castle and its immense garden are a unique experience for young and old alike. The mini golf experience alone, among the animals sculpted from hedges, is unforgettable (see also the item on golf courses).

The Château de Roquepiquet is located on the banks of the Petit Tolzac or Tolzac de Verteuil stream in Verteuil-d'Agenais. It is still privately owned and can therefore only be visited by appointment.

Water fun in Castelmoron-sur-Lot: all water sports can be found less than twenty minutes' drive from Coulx, such as swimming, canoeing, pedal boating,

Golf de Barthe: Just 2 km from Manoir Le Caillou, you can play golf in neighbouring Tombeboeuf on the grounds of Golf de Barthe. Golf lessons are given for children and adults on the 9-hole golf course. There is a friendly atmosphere in beautiful surroundings.

Golf & Country Club Villeneuve: In Villeneuve-sur-Lot, just 28 km from Coulx, is the Golf & Country Club, one of the best 18-hole golf courses in Aquitaine. This golf club, with greens of incredible quality all year round, also has a gourmet restaurant, a swimming pool, a tennis court and a wellness resort. Of course, there are other golf courses in the area.
