Mas de l'Artillou

Beautifully restored "Mas", air-conditioned and with a large heated, fenced and child-friendly private swimming pool, quietly located outside the village of Espédaillac in the Lot department. The Mas is located on a large site and offers complete privacy.

This comfortable holiday home for 8 people + 1 baby (suitable for 2 families) is ideal for those who love peace and space (with or without children) and who want to experience the real French life!

With the heated swimming pool you also benefit from a constant temperature of at least 25 degrees outside the summer season. The swimming pool measures no less than 14.5 x 4.5 meters and has 3 levels. The first and shallow level is located near the Romanesque staircase in the shape of a large step (for the very little ones). After the stairs is the next level, approximately 85 cm deep. Continue swimming and you reach the deepest part of 1.80 meters.

There are large sun (and shade) terraces around the pool and the house. Sunbeds, garden furniture and parasols are available on the various terraces.

The swimming pool is open and heated from the beginning of May to the last full week of September. Outside this period on request and at extra costs.

The house has an authentic spacious living room with a tall fireplace. In the spring and autumn you can sit in front of the fireplace with a book and a nice glass of wine.

The living room has been completely restored and has underfloor heating, a beautiful spacious sofa, 2 love seats and 2 armchairs. There is a large LCD screen (more than 500 channels via satellite receiver, including all Dutch channels) and there is a music system with a Bluetooth connection.

From the living room you have direct access through the French doors to the terrace and fully fenced swimming pool with large sun terraces.

The spacious kitchen is fully equipped. Plenty of crockery, pots and pans, kitchen utensils, 2 refrigerators, freezer, washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, oven and microwave.

There is always a stock of basic items such as coffee, tea, oil, spices, toilet paper, etc. that guests can use.

On the 1st floor there are 4 beautiful bedrooms, each with its own color scheme, and each equipped with air conditioning. There are 2 (parent) bedrooms with comfortable double beds. The other 2 bedrooms each have 2 single beds. In one of these rooms the beds can be pushed together.

A cot, high chair and stair gate are available for the little ones.

The bathroom with shower and toilet is also located on the 1st floor. There is a separate toilet on the ground floor.

Smoking is not allowed in the house.

There is much to do in the area for both active holidaymakers and culinary enthusiasts.

Various walks start near the house. There is also a tennis court in the village for which a subscription is available. Horse riding and golf are possible 8 km and 25 km away respectively.

You can also swim in the Lot, Dordogne and Céle rivers. Canoes can also be rented there. Highly recommended!. In the summer months there are village festivals everywhere and the well-known “vide greniers” and “brocantes” can be visited.

Rocamadour and the Gouffre de Padirac are well-known tourist attractions with sights and activities for young and old. And, don't forget St Cirq Lapopie, known for its beautiful location above the Lot.

The medieval village is built against a steep rock wall at an altitude of 390 meters.

You can do your shopping 5 - 10 minutes (Livernon or Assier) from the house. The nearest really large supermarket is in Figeac or Gramat (20km).

The region is known for its culinary delights and Cahors wines. Famous are the foie gras, magret de canard, truffles and saffron and of course the cabecou or rocamadour cheeses. There are many small restaurants in the area where you can eat relatively cheaply and deliciously. Restaurant Beauville in Espedaillac itself in particular is praised by everyone for its cuisine and authenticity.
