Our Gîte Ramana is for 1 to 8 people and has

2 bedrooms with a spacious walk-in shower with sink in each bedroom and a large bathroom with bath, toilet and sink downstairs. There is also a separate toilet

The holiday home of Domaine de la Velle has been completely renovated in style, completely by Jacky himself with a lot of love and all materials come from the area, often from nature. There are 2 covered outdoor dining areas, an outdoor lounge set and a bamboo gazebo with sunbeds to fully enjoy the outdoor life.

When you enter you are immediately in the living room. The kitchen has a refrigerator, a five-burner hob with wok burner, a combination microwave and a dishwasher. .

The living room is equipped with a corner sofa. finished with cedar wood from our own forest.

The beds are made upon arrival and there are 2 towels per person, these are changed weekly if desired

a dishwashing package (sponges, tea towel, towel and dish soap) is ready for you

you must bring your own pool towels

A high chair is available. For the little ones we have a camping bed (note: without bedding) available for free. Please indicate when booking if you want to reserve this.

We are actually in the middle of nowhere and yet....

there is so much to experience here.

Every day there is a market somewhere, in the evening you have the marché gourmands.

These are markets where you go with a basket with your

own crockery and cutlery,

you can even bring a bottle of wine (the English and French sometimes make it really beautiful with a tablecloth, flowers and candles) there is often live music and there are food stalls everywhere. you can then take your own plate wherever you see something tasty,

get something tasty. a real experience, you have to have done it once.

don't worry, don't bring your own crockery, nowadays you can get disposable crockery at the stalls.

Small circus tents or puppet shows are often set up everywhere in the area and lots of live music

art exhibitions, vide greniers (chic flea markets) brocantes, etc etc

In Cazals, the town that is 3 km away, you will find two boulangeries, a supermarket, 2 butchers,

a bank with cash machine, a post office and two cozy restaurants. On Sundays there is a weekly market with delicious regional products.

On the market square you can enjoy a drink or a snack in the shade of the trees.

where we ourselves stood with the children for years with a stall with the tastiest pastries in the region :) ,

When Timmo (our son) started a chip shop/restaurant at the age of 18, we had to stop. But a lovely terrace has been built in its place on the market, where you can still enjoy the tastiest pastries with coffee and so much more.

At Cazals there is a 2.7 ha lake (a plan d'eau), where you can swim and fish. The flower market in May is also recommended.

in Catus there is also a beautiful swimming lake and we know a "secret" spot that only locals know about with a

beautiful river and rapids.

If you are very nice, we might want to share our secret :)

In addition, there are also nice places in the Midi to visit, such as Gourdon (23 km), Villefranche du Périgord (16 km)

with beautiful squares, narrow streets and cozy restaurants. Rocamadour (beautiful and historic), saint cirque de la popi (phenomenally beautiful),

Sarlat le Canade (very nice shopping in the old streets) Catus (shady plan d' eua)

Domme (old fortified village with still the old city walls and gate, also caves present)
