Domaine Roc de Latge - Mèsange Bleu ****

Domaine Roc de Latge is located in the countryside; mainly hills and forest, between the rivers Lot and Dordogne. From this base of peace and tranquility you can find a variety of tourist attractions, charming summer(night) markets, and outstanding restaurants in the surrounding area.

You can also relax at our 11x5m pool, and enjoy the comfortable lounge beds on the terrace, or you can play petanque (jeu de boules), badminton or table tennis.

For people interested in yoga, we are in the process of creating a specially decorated meditation garden called “Le Jardin Mystique” on our 8000m2 park.

Sustainability is important to us. We want our guests to enjoy their stay to the fullest, while simultaneously ensuring that the balance of nature is affected as little as possible.

Living ecologically with respect for the patrimoine (heritage) and the countryside is our aim.

This accommodation is not suitable for the disabled.

Although we adore animals, we do not allow animals, and our cottages are smoke-free. Our cottages and facilities are not suitable for children aged under 12.

In the low season, the Lot is still a beautiful region to visit, which is why we are open throughout the entire year.

Mésange bleu **** became available in the spring of 2018.

This charmingly furnished cottage, with a surface area of approximately 100m2, can accommodate up to a maximum of 5 people.

On the ground floor you will find a spacious living room with comfortable furniture.

A flat-screen TV with a Chromecast. Streaming of your favourites programmes is possible.

Free WIFI is available.

The original high oak-beamed ceiling creates a spacious effect and the old stone “en pierre” walls create an authentic, French feeling.

The modern, open kitchen is well equipped, it has a 4 ring gas hob, a microwave/oven combination, a dishwasher, a big fridge/freezer combination, and an extensive inventory of kitchen utensils and cutlery, which will satisfy the needs of even the most avid amateur chef. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine, to hire at a small extra cost, available for those who really love their coffee.

In the shared adjacent utility room you will find a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and an iron. at extra charge is payable.

On the first floor there are two very spacious bedrooms, each of approximately 25m2. Each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan.

The original oak-beamed ceiling and the ridge height of about 5 meters create a spacious effect.

One bedroom has two single beds of 90x200cm, the other room has a four-poster bed of 180x200cm.

The beautifully restored old stone “en pierre” wall, the old layer of beams and the antique furniture will make you feel as though you are temporarily traveling back in time to a bygone age whilst at the same time enjoying all the modern facilities.

Both bedrooms are equipped with an en-suite, modern, luxury shower room with a rain shower, wash basin and a toilet. The beds have an Auping mesh base and thick pocket spring mattresses of different firmness. The beds will be made up and towels will be available on request. We offer different pillow options. After all, a relaxing holiday starts with a good sleep.

There is access to 2 terraces. On the back terrace of 35m2, you will find teak-wooden chairs and a dinner table, where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun or read a book in the afternoon in the shade. The spacious terrace offers a view of the pool and the landscaped garden with various fruit trees. On the front terrace of the cottage you can enjoy the sun for the entire afternoon and evening.

Mésange Bleu is available for bookings throughout the year and is very suitable for a group of friends to spend some quality time together.

This is not only a beautiful destination in the summer, but also during the spring, autumn and winter seasons e.g. for cycling, strolls through the countryside or to simply relax and enjoy the wonderful surroundings.

The cottage has central heating and on the ground floor underfloor floor heating and for special cosy evenings, a wood burning stove.

Beyond what France has to offer, but also our special region, there are possibilities to participate in Yoga classes during your stay under the expert guidance of a Yoga teacher. She speaks Dutch, English and French. During the high season it is possible to have a relaxing yoga class at our location. You can fully relax in our “Le Jardin Mystique”.

Hikes accompanied by a guide.

In the early and late season, hikes are set out in the region under expert supervision. These walks vary from 2 to 4 hours. During the walks there are breaks to have a drink and/or lunch. You need to bring your own, or, if desired, let us take care of it.
