Domaine Roc de Latge - Rouge-queue Noir

Domaine Roc de Latge is located in the countryside; mainly hills and forest, between the rivers Lot and Dordogne. From this base of peace and tranquility you can find a variety of tourist attractions, charming summer(night) markets, and outstanding restaurants in the surrounding area.

You can also relax at our 11x5m pool, and enjoy the comfortable lounge beds on the terrace, or you can play petanque (jeu de boules), badminton or table tennis.

For people interested in yoga, we are in the process of creating a specially decorated meditation garden called “Le Jardin Mystique” on our 8000m2 park.

Not in the mood to cook after a busy or lazy day? No problem! Use our Table d´ hôte service for a well-prepared dinner, based on local (bio) products, from our own garden, when available accompanied by your preferred wine from our fine wine selection.

Sustainability is important to us. We want our guests to enjoy their stay to the fullest, while simultaneously ensuring that the balance of nature is affected as little as possible. Living ecologically with respect for the patrimoine (heritage) and the countryside is our aim.

This accommodation is not suitable for the disabled. Although we adore animals, we do not allow animals, and our cottages are smoke-free. Our cottages and facilities are not suitable for children aged under 12.

In the low season, the Lot is still a beautiful region to visit, which is why we are open throughout the entire year.

Rouge-queue noir **** opened after undergoing a thorough restoration in 2017. This homely furnished, luxurious cottage has a surface of 140m2 and can accomodate a maximum of 7 people.

Through the entrance on the ground floor, you enter a spacious living room equipped with comfortable furniture, a beautiful wood-burning stove and a cosy seating area where you have a smart TV and Chrome cast to stream your favourite TV programmes.

A good WIFI connection is available free of charge.

The original high oak beamed ceiling gives a spacious effect and the restored old stone “en pierre” walls create an authentic French atmosphere.

The modern open kitchen is furnished with a 4 ring gas hob, a dishwasher, a fridge/freezer combination, a microwave/oven combination and an extensive inventory of kitchen utensils and cutlery which will satisfy the needs of even the most avid amateur chef. There is also a Nespresso coffee machine available for those who really love their coffee, at a small extra charge.

In the shared adjacent utility room you will find a washing machine, dryer, ironing board and an iron, at a small extra charge.

The kitchen openes onto a spacious terrace, 35m2, equipped with teak-wooden chairs and a dinner table, where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning sun with a view of the pool and the landscaped garden and fruit trees. In the afternoon you can enjoy the terrace while reading a good book in the shade. At the front terrace of the cottage you can enjoy the sun for the entire afternoon and evening.

Rouge-queue noir**** has 3 bedrooms, one of which, 19m2, is located on the ground floor. The double bed of 160x200cm has 2 separate single mattresses. The luxurious, en-suite shower room is equipped with a rain shower and a wash basin. The toilet is separate and accessible from both the bedroom as well as the living room. Each bedroom is equipped with a ceiling fan.

Upstairs on the first floor two very spacious bedrooms are located. During the renovation the original, oak beams were preserved and the ridge height of about 5 meters gives a spacious effect.

The master bedroom, 30m2, with its characteristic, old, stone “en pierre” wall is furnished with a double bed of 160x200cm with separate mattresses. This room has enough space to add another bed if needed.

The other bedroom – 22m2, has two single beds of 90x200cm.

Both bedrooms have a modern, luxurious, en-suite bathroom with a rain shower, wash basin and a separate toilet. The beds have an Auping mesh base and thick, pocket spring mattresses of different firmness. You also have the choice of different pillow options.

Rouge-queue noir**** is available for bookings throughout the entire year. Because all the bedrooms have private bathrooms and plenty of space this cottage is also suitable for two families to spend a holiday together.

This area is a wonderful destination for cycling and strolls through the countryside or simply relaxing all year round.

During the chillier periods, the house has under floor heating, and a wood burning stove makes for cosy evenings.
