The charming holiday home La Cheneraie is located in Artignosc-sur-Verdon, a small picturesque village situated in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’ Azur region in the south of France.
Artignosc-sur-Verdon is close to the famous Gorges du Verdon, a breathtaking natural attraction. You can enjoy walks along the edge of the gorge, cycling along quiet roads, swimming in the nearby lakes, kayaking on the Verdon River or simply taking in the beautiful scenery.
The house is located at the end of a dead-end street. There is a small supermarket and bakery within walking distance. In the village you can enjoy delicious food and drinks on the terrace of the Auberge.
The house can accommodate 8 + 2 people.
On the groundfloor, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. A bedroom with a double bed, a baby bed and bathroom with bath/toilet. A bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with two single beds. There is also a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower and toilet.
On the first floor there is one bedroom with air conditioning and bathroom with shower/toilet. An extra sofa bed is also at your disposal.
Bed linen and towers are available upon payment of a supplement of EUR 8/p.p.
Furthermore, there is a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, a seating corner with a flat-screen satellite TV and Wifi. Free bicycles are available in the garage.
Outside there is a large terrace with BBQ, a private swimming pool and jacuzzi (against payment of a fee).
On a short distance from the village is the Lac de Sainte-Croix, a beautiful turquoise lake where you can relax on the beaches, swim, sail, rent pedal boats or take a boat trip to explore the area.
There are several charming villages in the surrounding area that are worth to visit. Drive to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a beautiful medieval village known for its pottery and location at the entrance of the Gorges du Verdon . In Aiguines you have a beautiful mountain village with a spectacular view on the lake. Tourtour is also definitely worth a visit.
The charming town of Aups is a 20-minute drive away. You can buy regional products on the weekly local market, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The area arround Artignosc-sur-Verdon offers numerous hiking opportunities. You can explore the hidden nature via hiking trails that lead you past beautiful landscapes, mountains and viewpoints. Cycling, horse riding and mountain climbing are also popular activities in this area.
The Provence region is known for its vineyards and wine production. Visit a local vineyard and enjoy wine tastings to discover the local wines and learn about the winemaking processes. Be sure to visit the village of Cotignac and surrounding vineyards.
