House for Rent in the South of France, with private heated swimming pool Ardéche

Welcome to our holiday home

St Martin D'ardeche is a village in the extreme south of the Ardeche, where the mild climate and the singing of the cicadas welcome you. The village is only 0.8 km from our house and is easily accessible by car or on foot. There is ample parking at the house. We Maddy and René have done everything we can to furnish a beautiful home, primarily to enjoy it ourselves, but also to make you feel at home.

the house

The the house is equipped with every comfort and is suitable for a maximum of 6 people. All rooms have air conditioning, so let the sun shine.

Sleepover campers

There are 2 bedrooms, 1 bedroom with a large double bed and 1 bedroom with a normal double bed and 2 bunk beds. There is also the option to convert a sofa in the living room into a sofa bed. you must provide your own bed linen, but blankets and pillows are provided.

Living room

The living room is equipped with modern new furniture, there is a flat screen TV with TV Flanders and the house is equipped with WiFi.

In winter

A cozy fireplace can be used.

Kitchen

The kitchen has every comfort, an electric fire, microwave, small oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and everything else needed in a kitchen.

Bathroom

The spacious bathroom consists of a bath with shower and sink. Towels and washcloths are provided in the bathroom cupboard.

Salvage

All kinds of cleaning supplies are available in the storage room, there is also a washing machine and a washing line is provided behind the house.

Outside

There are several places to lie quietly in the sun or quietly enjoy the shade under a tree. You can have breakfast on the large covered terrace with a view over the valley or enjoy a delicious barbecue under the oak tree.

The heated swimming pool

Has an area of ​​8x4 meters, we use a specialized company to keep the quality of the water optimal, these people come to check regularly. There is a pool house with fridge and space to prepare a snack or drink. next to the pool house there is a covered terrace with garden furniture for relaxing in the shade. There is a heated outdoor shower next to the pool house to rinse off before and after swimming.

The Ardeche

Directly on the Ardèche River and just fifteen minutes from the highway, St Martin benefits from a privileged location.  Only 30 km separate St Martin d'Ardèche from Vallon Pont D'Arc, with the famous Gorges of the Ardèche and the tourist route as a common thread. The most beautiful caves are nearby, as are the Cèze valley, the Gard department with the beautiful village of Aiguèze, the Vaucluse where Avignon is located with the Pope's Palace. Orange and its ancient theater are nearby, and the Mediterranean is one hour away. 

In St. Martin you will find all kinds of shops and boutiques, bakers and a butcher as well as a small supermarket, evening markets and party nights are organized in the summer. There is a market on Sundays. You can go out for a meal or a drink, go to the beach or rent pedal boats for a trip on the Ardèche.TIP!!! be sure to visit the restaurant La Terrasse at the front of the village. Typical southernFrench cuisine at low prices, very tasty but above all fresh, highly recommended!!

The most important activity in the south of the Ardèche remains canoeing and kayaking. Various tours are on the program: 6 km, 24 km or a two-day tour of 30 km. 

You can also go hiking in the area, alone or with a certified guide through the Office de Tourisme of St. Martin d'Ardèche.
