Le Mas Blan exists for almost 800 years and is originally a Benedictine Monastery. It is a mythical place, beautifully situated in a nature reserve on the border of Provence and the Cevennes. The renovated monastery is overlooking the surrounding hills and the 40 hectares of private forests, terraces, and hiking trails along our own waterwells. The heated swimming pool is not far from the beautifully restored accommodations. Are you looking for a holiday home in the South of France or better still a holiday home with swimming pool in Provence or Cevennes, then you have come to the right place.
the Auditorium
This 4 to 5 person apartment is located on the ground floor. Our orange and lemon trees are the first things you will see of the many plants and flowers in the courtyard. You step up two steps along the nice bell to go to your apartment. Right after the entrance you will find three doors. On your left, behind the first door, you enter the kitchen. The adjacent bedroom with twin beds (1 bed box with two mattresses of 80 x 200cm) also has a window on the west. In the evening a beautiful flood light enters through this window, illuminating the copper chandelier, the old mirror and the softly painted wardrobes. The seat with comfortable rattan chairs complement this bedroom.
Through the middle door you enter the bathroom.
Behind the door on your right is the 2 to 3 person bedroom with double bed (160 × 200). This room is so spacious that we often install an addional bed. The niche behind the bed was a passage to the convent chapel, in earlier days. The wide cevennes chairs with a wicker seat, the wooden wardrobe and the mirror make this a sturdy, light room.
From this room you step outside on your private terrace. The view from the west, north to the eastern horizon never gets boring. The spacious table with 5 chairs invite you to have breakfast in the morning sun, gaze in the distance and completely relax.
Welcome to this great holiday stay !

This, now world famous, cave discovered by chance just in 1994 . The cave was inhabited more than 30,000 years ago (in the stone age) by the inhabitants of this region. Hundreds of drawings of animals whose existence was not yet known have been found . Only scientists and honored guests can visit the real cave, which is on the Unesco World Heritage List. But the French authorities have built a replica for a total cost of 55 million euros, that can not be distinguished from the real one. From the location of your holiday home on the Mas Blanc, this cave can be reached within 45 minutes.
