Mas Tidouls - Hua Hin

Discover the Southern Cévennes from gites Mas Tidouls.

An old 18th century silkworm nursery was transformed into a beautiful Mediterranean domain with themed gîtes. The domain with old olive trees, lavender bushes and fragrant herbs is located directly south in an unspoilt valley, so you can enjoy the sun all day long.  

The nearby village, Notre Dame de la Rouvière, is considered one of the sunniest places in France. No wonder its inhabitants are called "Les Soureilhatch - les Ensoleillées" in the local dialect.  

From here you can discover the Cévennes. An inhabited nature park4,000 km2, unique in Europe and recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

However, the beauty of this region, so diverse, goes much further than that...  

Between cities that are alive, villages that have preserved their soul, star chefs proud of the local products and gastronomy, wine estates that now also offer oenotourism, ... it is above all the range of colors, smells and flavors that make this region the most sought-after destination in the South of France.

This air-conditioned gîte for 4 people with an area of ​​38m2, has a pleasant Thai-style lounge with satellite TV.

A bathroom with a spacious walk-in rain shower, 2 sinks and toilet. A bedroom with a bed (160 x 210cm) and a small lockable bedroom with bunk beds. An equipped kitchen with gas stove, microwave, sink, refrigerator, Senseo, kettle and all kitchen utensils.

You can eat on your covered terrace (13m2) with Thai garden.

Located in the center of this beautiful region, you can easily discover everything from Mas Tidouls.  

In the immediate vicinity you can explore the Cévennes via the many GRs (hiking trails), on foot, VTT, on horseback or even like the famous writer Stevenson, by donkey.   

We are happy to provide you with the necessary documentation, maps or reservations for guided walks.  

The nearby towns, Le Vigan, Ganges, Saint Martial, St Jean du Gard, ... are definitely worth a visit. By car you can go to the Mediterranean coast or the Camargue (distance 60 km), past beautiful wine estates and forgotten southern French villages. 

Historic cities such as Nîmes, Montpellier, Ales, Aigues Mortes and many others are recommended for a day trip.
