La Farigoulette is an attractive detached holiday home for up to 6 people in Saint-Antonin-du-Var, centrally located in the Var department in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. The villa is located in a quiet area and combines a lot of privacy with a beautiful panoramic view over the valley and the hills of Provence. The village center of Saint-Antonin-du-Var is a 10-minute walk away.
In 2015 we bought this cozy, comfortable house. It is a wonderful place for us to go regularly - when there are no tenants.
The holiday home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, air conditioning built into the ceilings of the house and adjustable per room, fast WiFi, a fully equipped kitchen and a private swimming pool. Thanks to the various terraces around the house, there is a pleasant place in the sun or shade at any time of the day.
One of the great assets of La Farigoulette is the Mediterranean garden of approximately 2,500 m², laid out in terraces and planted with oleanders, lavender, olive trees and fig trees. From the covered terrace you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Var hills, the valley, the garden and the swimming pool. There are olive trees on the terraces below the house; we pick every year and have olive oil pressed from it (there is a bottle waiting for you!)
The fenced private swimming pool of 9 x 4 meters has a saltwater system, child alarm system and outdoor shower. There is a spacious terrace around the pool with parasols and lots of privacy. The stairs to the pool have a good handrail. On the terrace side you can barricade the access to the stairs with wooden gates that you will find in the garage. Very useful with small children!
La Farigoulette is particularly suitable for families, couples or friends who are looking for a holiday home with private swimming pool in the Var, where peace, nature, privacy and the Provencal outdoor life are central.
Thanks to its central location, well-known Provencal places, wine estates, the Gorges du Verdon and the Côte d'Azur are easily accessible.

La Farigoulette is comfortably furnished for up to 6 people and consists of the main residence and an adjacent studio that is attached to the house, but has a separate entrance.
The living room has a fireplace, sitting area and dining area. French doors give direct access to the large covered terrace with panoramic views. There is also silent air conditioning built into the ceilings and can be controlled per room, fast fiber optic WiFi and internet TV including Netflix and Dutch television channels (NL Ziet).
The Provencal kitchen-diner is fully equipped with, among other things, an oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee maker, "normal" coffee filter machine, electric kettle and toaster. French doors also provide access to the covered terrace from the kitchen.
The first bedroom of approximately 18 m² has two single beds of 90 x 190 cm, bedside tables, a wardrobe, sink, air conditioning and ceiling fan.
The second bedroom of approximately 12 m² has two single beds of 90 x 200 cm that can be used together or separately, as well as cupboard space, a sink, air conditioning and ceiling fan.
The third bedroom is located in the studio that is adjacent to the house but still offers a little more privacy. There are also two single beds measuring 90 x 200 cm. The studio has air conditioning and a private bathroom with shower and toilet.
In addition, in the main area there is a bathroom with shower, bidet and sink and a separate toilet. The garage contains an extra refrigerator and washing machine.
There are terraces on three sides surrounding the house. The large covered terrace off the living room and kitchen has a ceiling fan and overlooks the valley, garden and swimming pool. There is also a terrace under a covered pergola with a large dining table and electric Weber barbecue.
La Farigoulette is located in a quiet, rural area near Saint-Antonin-du-Var, a small Provencal village in the heart of the Var. From the house you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and valley, while the village center is about a 10-minute walk away.
The location is particularly suitable for holidaymakers who want to combine the authentic interior of Provence with excursions to famous places and nature reserves. In the area there are characterful Provencal villages such as Lorgues, Entrecasteaux, Cotignac, Salernes, Villecroze and Seillans, while Draguignan is also easily accessible.
The region around Saint-Antonin-du-Var is known for its vineyards and Provencal wine estates. In and around the surrounding villages you will find local markets, restaurants, wineries and shops selling regional products. In Saint-Antonin-du-Var itself there is a bakery and grocer; for larger supermarkets you can go to Lorgues. In the village itself you can enjoy excellent food in the Lou Cigaloun restaurant.
Nature lovers have plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling and mountain biking. Horse riding, kayaking and other outdoor sports are also possible. The Gorges du Verdon and Lac de Sainte-Croix are attractive destinations for a special day trip.
The Mediterranean coast is also accessible for a day at the seaside. From Saint-Antonin-du-Var you can visit Fréjus, Saint-Tropez and Ramatuelle, among others. According to existing rental information, both the coast and the Gorges du Verdon are approximately a 45-minute drive away; Nice and Aix-en-Provence are signposted about an hour away.
This central location in the Var makes La Farigoulette a great base for those who want to alternate their holiday between rest at the private swimming pool, Provencal villages and markets, wine tastings, nature, walking and trips to the Côte d'Azur.
