Gîte Chambord – Les Vieux Chênes

Gîte Chambord is part of the small-scale holiday complex Les Vieux Chênes, peacefully situated in the countryside of Oyré in the Vienne department, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. This spacious holiday home accommodates up to 6 guests and is an ideal base for families, couples or friends looking to enjoy peace, nature and the French countryside.

The gîte has 2 bedrooms and 2 shower rooms and combines a comfortable interior with its own private outdoor space. At the rear of the property, there is a private garden with a table and chairs, parasol and barbecue, providing the perfect setting for outdoor dining and relaxing on sunny days.

Guests at Les Vieux Chênes can also enjoy the shared facilities on the property. One of the main highlights is the heated 10 x 5 metre swimming pool, which opens in May to September and is equipped with sun loungers and parasols. There is also a children’s play area and a pétanque court.

Families with children are well catered for. A range of baby equipment is available on request. Other recreational facilities on the property include badminton, football, table tennis, table football and various games.

Although Chambord is part of a complex of four gîtes, each gîte has its own private garden. The four holiday homes at Les Vieux Chênes can be rented separately, making Chambord equally suitable for guests who are not travelling as part of a large group.

Gîte Chambord has a spacious living room with a comfortable seating area, television and DVD player. The fireplace/wood-burning stove adds to the warm and cosy atmosphere of the holiday home. Next to the living area, there is a separate dining area where you can enjoy meals together.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine, making the property practical and comfortable for longer stays as well.

Chambord has 2 bedrooms and accommodates up to 6 guests. One of the bedrooms has its own private shower room. There is also a second shower room on the ground floor, as well as a separate toilet.

From the holiday home, you have access to the private garden at the rear, furnished with garden furniture, a parasol and barbecue. The property is heated by a wood-burner and electric radiators.

Despite its peaceful rural setting, the village of Oyré is only a few minutes away by car, while both Châtellerault and La Roche-Posay can be reached in approximately 10-15 minutes.

Châtellerault is an interesting destination for visitors who want to combine culture and heritage with shops and other amenities. The town has a rich industrial and historical past and is also conveniently located on the route towards Futuroscope and Aquascope.

La Roche-Posay is also within easy reach. The town is particularly well known as a spa destination and for its thermal waters, but it also has an attractive historic centre featuring sights such as the Porte Bourbon, the Notre-Dame church and remains of the old fortified town. Activities in and around La Roche-Posay include walking, golf, canoeing and various other recreational pursuits.

For a family day out, Futuroscope near Poitiers is one of the best-known attractions in the region. Other interesting destinations for a day trip include the medieval town of Chauvigny, historic Angles-sur-l’Anglin, the Abbey of Saint-Savin and several nature and wildlife parks in the wider area.
