Gîte Chinon – Les Vieux Chênes

Gîte Chinon is a charming holiday home for up to 5 guests and is part of Les Vieux Chênes, a small-scale holiday property with four gîtes set in the peaceful countryside of Oyré, in the Vienne department of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. The gîte has 2 bedrooms and a private garden, offering a pleasant combination of peace, space and shared recreational facilities.

The holiday home has a private garden at the rear, furnished with a table and chairs, parasol and barbecue. On sunny days, it is the perfect place to enjoy outdoor meals or simply relax in your own private outdoor space. From the living room, you have views over the front of the property and the swimming pool.

One of the main features of Les Vieux Chênes is the heated 10 x 5 metre shared swimming pool, which is open from May to September. Sun loungers and parasols are available around the pool. There is also a children’s play area, while other recreational facilities on the property include pétanque, badminton, football, table tennis, table football and mini billiards.

Families with young children are also welcome. Various items of baby equipment are available on request, including a cot, high chair and baby bath.

Gîte Chinon can be rented separately. Guests travelling as part of a larger group can combine several gîtes at Les Vieux Chênes. Together, the four holiday homes can accommodate up to 30 guests. For larger groups, a reception room and professional kitchen are also available on the property.

Gîte Chinon is practically and comfortably furnished for a stay of up to 5 guests. The holiday home has 2 bedrooms located on the first floor.

On the ground floor, there is a living room with a comfortable seating area, television and DVD player. From the living room, you have views over the front of Les Vieux Chênes and the shared swimming pool. There is also a dining area where you can enjoy breakfast or dinner together.

The fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and washing machine. This makes the gîte particularly convenient for families or guests who enjoy preparing their own meals during a longer stay.

The ground floor also features a shower room with a separate toilet.

At the rear of the holiday home, you have access to the private garden, furnished with a table and chairs, parasol and barbecue. The property is heated by electric radiators.

Gîte Chinon ligt bij Les Vieux Chênes in Oyré, midden op het rustige platteland van de Vienne. De accommodatie is daardoor bijzonder geschikt voor vakantiegangers die willen genieten van natuur en rust, maar tegelijkertijd verschillende steden, dorpen en toeristische attracties binnen bereik willen hebben.

Volgens de eigenaar ligt het dorp Oyré op ongeveer 2 minuten en bereik je zowel Châtellerault als La Roche-Posay in ongeveer 10 minuten. Rond Les Vieux Chênes zijn bovendien verschillende mogelijkheden voor wandelingen en uitstappen in de natuur.  

Châtellerault heeft een rijk industrieel en cultureel verleden en biedt naast winkels en voorzieningen verschillende mogelijkheden voor cultuur en erfgoed. De stad ligt bovendien op de route richting Futuroscope. De toeristische dienst van de Vienne noemt Châtellerault onder andere interessant voor zowel erfgoedliefhebbers als gezinnen.  

In de andere richting ligt La Roche-Posay, een bekende historische kuurplaats in een groene omgeving. Naast de thermale voorzieningen vind je er een middeleeuws centrum en zijn er talrijke mogelijkheden voor ontspanning, natuur en recreatie. Tot de activiteiten in en rond La Roche-Posay behoren onder andere wandelen, golf, kanoën, een casino en een hippodroom.  

Voor gezinnen is Futuroscope bij Poitiers een van de bekendste attracties van de regio, met talrijke attracties en belevenissen. In de ruimere omgeving zijn nog veel meer uitstappen mogelijk, waaronder de middeleeuwse stad Chauvigny, Angles-sur-l’Anglin en het prehistorische Roc-aux-Sorciers, de abdij van Saint-Savin en verschillende natuur- en dierenparken.  

Dankzij de combinatie van een landelijke ligging, eigen tuin, verwarmd zwembad en recreatiemogelijkheden op het domein enerzijds en de nabijheid van Châtellerault, La Roche-Posay en de toeristische trekpleisters van de Vienne anderzijds, vormt Gîte Chinon een aangename uitvalsbasis voor een ontspannen vakantie in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
