Gîte Amboise – Les Vieux Chênes

Gîte Amboise is a spacious holiday home for up to 8 to 9 guests and is part of Les Vieux Chênes, a small-scale holiday property with four gîtes set in the peaceful countryside of Oyré, in the Vienne department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. With 3 bedrooms and 3 shower rooms, Amboise is particularly suitable for larger families, two families travelling together, or a holiday with relatives or friends.

The holiday home has its own private garden at the rear, directly accessible from the dining room. The garden is furnished with a dining table and chairs, parasol and barbecue, making it an ideal place to enjoy outdoor meals and relax in fine weather.

Guests can also make use of the shared facilities at Les Vieux Chênes. At the heart of the property is a heated 10 x 5 metre swimming pool, which is open from May to September and equipped with sun loungers and parasols. Each gîte also has its own private garden.

There is plenty to keep children entertained as well. The property features a children’s play area, a pétanque court and facilities for badminton, football, table tennis, table football and various other games. For families with young children, baby equipment such as a cot and high chair is available on request.

Amboise can be rented separately, but the four gîtes at Les Vieux Chênes can also be combined for larger groups. Together, the accommodations can host up to 30 guests. For larger groups, the property also offers a reception room and a professional kitchen.

Gîte Amboise is spacious and comfortably furnished for a stay of up to 8 to 9 guests. The holiday home features a cosy living room with a seating area, television and DVD player, as well as a separate dining area where everyone can enjoy meals together.

According to the owner, the fully equipped kitchen includes an oven, hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher.

The bedrooms are spread over two floors. On the first floor, there are 2 bedrooms, each with its own private shower room. On the ground floor, there is a third double bedroom, also with its own shower room and a separate toilet. This layout provides additional privacy when several couples or families are staying together.

From the dining room, you have direct access to the private garden at the rear, furnished with a table, chairs, parasol and barbecue. At the front, the property overlooks the central area of the holiday complex and the swimming pool.

During the cooler months, the gîte is heated by a wood-burning stove and electric radiators.

Gîte Amboise is located at Les Vieux Chênes in the countryside of Oyré, in the Vienne department. It enjoys a peaceful rural setting where guests can fully appreciate nature and walking, while several towns, villages and tourist attractions remain within easy reach. According to the owner, the village of Oyré is approximately 2 minutes away, while both Châtellerault and La Roche-Posay can be reached in around 10 minutes by car.

Châtellerault is an interesting destination for a day trip, combining shops and amenities with a rich historical and industrial heritage. The town is also a good starting point for exploring the Vienne and is conveniently located on the route towards Futuroscope.

In the other direction lies La Roche-Posay, a well-known thermal spa town with a historic character. In addition to its thermal facilities, La Roche-Posay has a medieval centre and is surrounded by beautiful green countryside. A variety of recreational activities are available in and around the town, including walking, golf and canoeing, as well as a casino and racecourse.

For families, Futuroscope near Poitiers is one of the best-known attractions in the region. The theme park combines rides, technology and audiovisual experiences and can be combined with a visit to the nearby Aquascope water park.

Nature lovers, history enthusiasts and visitors who enjoy discovering charming French towns and villages will also find plenty to explore in the surrounding area. Highlights include the medieval town of Chauvigny, Angles-sur-l’Anglin and the prehistoric Roc-aux-Sorciers, the UNESCO-listed Abbey of Saint-Savin and several nature and wildlife parks throughout the Vienne.
