'Chez nous', a spacious holiday bungalow for 4 people with private swimming pool

Bungalow 'Chez nous'.

A spacious bungalow, suitable for 4 people, with garden and private swimming pool. The swimming pool is 3.50m x 7.00m and has a walk-in staircase with sitting steps for relaxing.

The garden offers shade under the numerous olive trees and sun around the pool. Sunbeds are available as well as an outdoor table with chairs and a BBQ (gas).

The center of the village is a few minutes' walk away. Here you will find shops such as a Carrefour supermarket, a bakery and a pharmacy. There is also a bar/brasserie with a cozy terrace, a tennis court and a jeu de boules court.

At the cave cooperative 'Les Côteaux du Minervois' you can taste and buy wines from the vineyards around Pépieux.

Living room: sofa, armchairs, coffee table, side tables, furniture with color TV and Dutch satellite receiver, Sony soundbar, WiFi and air conditioning. Sliding doors to garden, terrace and swimming pool.

Dining room area: open kitchen with 3-burner induction hob, dishwasher, spacious refrigerator with freezer, combination oven-microwave, traditional oven, coffee maker (Senseo, Nespresso or filter coffee maker) and kettle. Dining room table with four chairs. (2 extra chairs available in bedroom)

Bathroom: spacious shower with hand and rain shower, toilet, bathroom cabinet and furniture with sink.

Central hall/entrance: with built-in cupboard and washing machine.

One bedroom with patio doors to the front garden/parking, a double bed of 1.60m x 2.00m, two bedside tables, two chairs and a spacious built-in wardrobe with sliding doors.

The second bedroom also has French doors to the front garden/parking, two single beds of 0.90m x 2.00m, two bedside tables, two chairs and a spacious built-in wardrobe with sliding doors.

The village of Pépieux is located in the Aude valley and is completely surrounded by vineyards. It is located between the city of Narbonne on the coast and Carcassonne, with its famous La Cité, inland, both about 30 km away. Near Pépieux is the somewhat larger Olonzac, with several (brocante) shops, restaurants, terraces and bars, and a weekly large traditional market that always attracts many people from the surrounding area. Three kilometers away is Lac de Jouarres where you can sunbathe, swim, surf and fish. And the Canal du Midi, included on the UNESCO World Heritage List, with its many locks and aqueducts, also runs close to this lake. South of Pépieux are the mountains of the Corbières and the Pyrenees, about 1 to 2 hours' drive away. Here you can enjoy adventurous hiking, canyoning and rafting. The Parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc and the Montagne Noire on the other side of Pépieux are a lot closer, five minutes by car and you can easily drive into this beautiful nature reserve. Here you will find, among other things, the centuries-old, particularly picturesque village of Minerve (the namesake of our wine region, the Minervois), impressive rock walls and deeply worn 'gorges', old oak and chestnut forests and clear, cool (swimming) streams. Anyone who enjoys challenging bike rides, on a racing bike or mountain bike, can indulge themselves here. In this extensive area you can also take beautiful (already marked) walks and cool off in the summer if desired. For lovers of the sea and beach; the Mediterranean Sea with its long coastline full of beautiful sandy beaches and charming fishing villages is about a forty-minute drive away. Golfers can play a round on the courses of Narbonne, Lamalou-les-bains and Carcassonne. And culture lovers will certainly get their money's worth, the Languedoc-Roussillon has a long, rich history that can be found everywhere, from museums to simply in the great outdoors. There is also plenty to do for children; a climbing park, canoeing, water bouncy castles, wakeboarding, horse riding, visiting caves and much more fun.

We have lived in this area for quite a long time and have been here on the edge of Pépieux since 2021. Next to our house, bungalow 'Chez nous' is also located on our 5,500 m2 site. Bungalow 'Chez nous' has its own entrance, swimming pool and garden.
