Fount Estremiero is located at the end of a quiet dead-end lane, in a small village surrounded by the beautiful forests of the Montagne Noire. The setting offers peace and tranquillity and is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday with children. The house is also a perfect base for walkers and cyclists, with several hiking and cycling routes passing directly by the property.
The domain is a wonderful place to enjoy together all year round. In summer, life revolves around the outdoors: cooling off in the swimming pool, playing pétanque, enjoying long meals at the large outdoor table, barbecuing until sunset, and children playing freely while taking care of the goats.
The domain also has unique assets in winter. Guests can unwind in the outdoor wellness area with sauna, hammam and hot tub. Inside, the many fireplaces and wood-burning stoves create a warm and cosy atmosphere.
November is perfect for roasting chestnuts or exploring the surrounding nature in search of wild mushrooms. From December onwards, the truffle season begins and several local markets can be visited to discover truffles and regional products. December is also the time for the torchlight walk and Christmas market in the fairy-tale city of Carcassonne – a magical, romantic experience and a true spectacle for children.
During April, May, June, September and October, the holiday-home calendar is not open, as the property is then operated as a B&B. If there is interest in staying during this period (the B&B can also be booked by groups), a message can be sent via the contact form.
