Doumailhac is a charming historic manor house set in peaceful countryside in the Haute-Vienne, in the heart of the unspoilt Périgord Vert region. This spacious property is ideal for large families or groups of friends looking for comfort, privacy and an authentic French holiday experience.
The estate features a private heated salt-water swimming pool, extensive gardens and several terraces, allowing guests to relax outdoors throughout the day. Thanks to the generous layout, everyone can enjoy shared moments while still having plenty of personal space.
The games barn has a table tennis table, badmington and a variety of games as well as a number of bicycles to borrow.

Inside, Doumailhac blends original character with modern comfort. The main house offers six spacious bedrooms and four bathrooms, complemented by an adjoining gîte with three additional bedrooms and two bathrooms. This layout is perfect for larger groups who value both togetherness and privacy.
The large, fully equipped kitchen is the heart of the house and includes modern appliances, an original bread oven and a large dining table for convivial meals. The comfortable living room features cosy seating, a wood burner and a television, ideal for relaxing evenings after a day exploring the region.
The beds are all large comfortable divans with white bed linen.
Doumailhac is located in a small hamlet, approximately one kilometre from the village of La Chapelle-Montbrandeix. The surrounding area offers rolling countryside, forests, lakes and rivers, making it ideal for walking, cycling, fishing or horse riding.
This tranquil region is known for its natural beauty and traditional French atmosphere. Local markets, picturesque villages and historic towns such as Limoges, Périgueux and Angoulême are easily accessible for day trips and cultural visits.
The area is perfect for families, there are lakes with beaches and watersports with free parking and pic-nic areas.
The stars in the night skies are amazing, as are the birds and wildlife.

We will certainly be back but maybe not in August as we found it quite hot for walking and cycling on several days – the pool was our saviour!”
