We have lived in Lot et Garonne for over 15 years in a large,
renovated farmhouse and have split our house into two dwellings for rental purposes.
Very good sound insulation, partly due to the very thick walls.
We highly value our privacy and respect yours!
Naturally, we are open to tips and information about the surrounding area.
It is also possible to borrow a book from our library.
Our grounds cover over 9 hectares and consist of meadows, woodland, and an orchard.
The tranquility here is overwhelming.
We do not use the 5 by 11 meter swimming pool, although we do maintain it.
There is a large, high-ceilinged eat-in kitchen with a fireplace and
a sitting/music room with a Pleyel baby grand piano and
also with a fireplace.
Rentals are for a minimum of 2 weeks (from Sunday afternoon from 4:00 PM to Sunday morning 11:00 AM); other arrival/departure days are negotiable. The rental price is 1,500-1,700 euros per week.
The early booking discount (6 months before the arrival date) is 5%.
A 5% discount applies to rentals of at least 3 weeks.
Linens, towels, and tea towels are included in the price,
as well as coffee, tea, olive oil, and herbs.
Please bring your own pool towels.
By prior arrangement, you can use our Miele washing machine and dryer in the afternoon. Detergents and fabric softener are provided.
There are 2 bedrooms, including a bed measuring 1.80 by 2.00 meters in one room and a bed measuring 1.60 by 2.00 meters in the other. Very good beds.
Between these two rooms lies a small hallway and a small but good bathroom with a shower, toilet, sink, and a chest of drawers containing towels and bath mats.
High, modern, and atmospheric eat-in kitchen (10 by 7 meters) with an oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, 5-burner Smeg hob, extensive kitchen equipment, herbs, coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, and salt/pepper.
Sitting room with a Pleyel grand piano and fireplace.
Available are: a ping-pong table, a barbecue, Wi-Fi, and a hangar for storing bicycles or motorcycles.
We also have a well-stocked library in our living area containing Dutch, English, and French literature, dictionaries, photography books, and art books. Borrowing a book is therefore no problem at all.
In the surrounding area lie fortified towns such as Penne d’Agenais, Montflanquin, Pujols, and Tournon d’Agenais. Regularly held are large and small markets, flea markets, exhibitions, and concerts. Many Romanesque churches. Restaurants in all price ranges. Boats and canoes are available for rent on the Lot River. Many official hiking trails.
Bergerac Airport is a 1-hour drive away. The airports of Toulouse and Bordeaux are one and a half and two hours away, respectively.
The TGV stops in Agen, 18 km from here.
