The Franche-Comté (Arpitan: Franche-Comtât) is located in the far east of France and is bordered to the north by Alsace, Lorraine and Champagne-Ardenne. In the west it borders on Burgundy, in the south on the Rhône-Alpes region and in the east on Switzerland.
It is a beautiful holiday area for lovers of clean lakes and quiet forests, especially the Jura.
