Colombard

Holiday home Colombard is a spacious and comfortable holiday home for up to 8 people, located on the quiet holiday domain Les Pinèdes near Brossac in the Charente, in the south-west of France. A great holiday destination for families, couples or friends who want to enjoy peace and nature, but at the same time want to have a swimming pool and various recreational options in the area.

The holiday home is located on a spacious, green plot on a small-scale private domain with approximately 40 holiday homes. Thanks to the wooded area and the spacious plots, you can enjoy lots of greenery, privacy and pleasant shady spots around the house during hot summer days.  

Colombard has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and offers permanent sleeping accommodations for 6 people, with additional sleeping options in the living space for up to 8 people. The house is equipped with WiFi, Android TV, air conditioning in the living room and a pellet stove for cooler days. The holiday home is non-smoking and pets are not allowed.  

Outside there is a pleasant covered terrace, ideal for having a quiet breakfast in the morning or enjoying a meal and a good glass of French wine together in the evening.

The holiday domain has a large communal outdoor swimming pool with children's pool and sun loungers. The swimming pool is only accessible to residents of the domain and is normally open from mid-June to mid-September. There is also a small playground for children.  

Just outside the domain is the lake Étang Vallier with a sandy beach. This allows Colombard to combine the privacy and comfort of your own holiday home with additional opportunities to swim, play and relax in nature during your holiday.  

Colombard is also an excellent base for excursions. The Charente is known for its rural character, vineyards, local markets and authentic French villages. Cities and places such as Cognac, Angoulême, Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, Saint-Émilion and Bordeaux are possible for a day trip.

Holiday home Colombard has a spacious and bright living space with a cozy dining area, a wooden dining table, a corner sofa that can also be used as a sofa bed and two separate seats. Thanks to the many windows, a lot of natural light enters. For extra comfort, the living space is equipped with air conditioning and a pellet stove.  

Adjacent is the spacious open kitchen. This is equipped with an electric hob, microwave, small oven, large refrigerator with freezer compartment, Nespresso machine, coffee maker and kettle. Crockery, cutlery, pots and pans are also provided, so you can easily cook yourself during your stay.  

The holiday home has 3 bedrooms:

Bedroom 1: double bed 160 cm wide and private en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet and sink.

Bedroom 2: double bed 180 cm wide.

Bedroom 3: single bed with bed drawer, so two people can sleep here.

In addition to the en-suite bathroom, the house has a second bathroom with walk-in shower, toilet, large sink and sufficient storage space. The washing machine is also located here.  

The combination of three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a spacious living room and a fully equipped kitchen makes Colombard particularly suitable for a holiday with the family or with several people.

Outside, the house connects to a covered terrace with garden furniture, where you can eat and relax in a sheltered area.

Colombard is located near Brossac in the Charente, a rural region in southwest France where peace, nature, gastronomy and authentic French life are central.

Brossac is a small French village where you will find daily amenities close by. There is a bakery, butcher, pharmacy, post office and a small supermarket. For larger groceries you can go to Chalais and Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire, among others. There is also an option to charge an electric car in the center of Brossac.  

Directly at the holiday domain is Étang Vallier, a lake with a sandy beach. In addition, there are various options for walking, cycling, swimming and other outdoor activities in the wider area. A special nature destination is Guizengeard, known for the former kaolin quarry with clear turquoise water, white sandy soils and surrounding forests. Possible excursions for families and active holidaymakers include Beauvallon Beach near Montguyon and the Double Accro climbing park in Saint-Aulaye.  

Lovers of French markets and regional products are also in the right place here. There is a market in Brossac on Saturday mornings, while you can also visit markets in Chalais, Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire, Jonzac, Angoulême and Ribérac, among others. You will find fresh fruit and vegetables, cheeses, meats, regional specialties and other local products.  

The location also offers many opportunities for culture and day trips. For example, discover charming Aubeterre-sur-Dronne, visit Cognac and its famous cognac houses or head to Angoulême. The wine region around Saint-Émilion and the historic city of Bordeaux are also interesting destinations for a day trip. The owner mentions that Bordeaux and Saint-Émilion can be reached within about an hour.  

The area is also ideal for those who also want to discover France culinary. Local markets, restaurants, wine and regional products are part of a stay in this region.  

Colombard is therefore an interesting base for a holiday in the Charente: quietly located in the green and close to swimming and recreational opportunities, while characterful French villages as well as well-known cities and wine regions are accessible.
